Mount Sinai hospital offers a breastfeeding (or beret feeling as autocorrect suggested) class for expectant mothers.
Claudine signed us up via the creepiest calendar invite I ever had to accept.
We learned about Colostrum, the textures of baby poop, nipple guards and ‘Milk Let Down’ (which sadly has nothing to do with the boob being disappointed in itself).
Our session was held by a fantastically informed instructor named Catherine, who was a veritable wealth of knowledge. She is an RN and Lactation Specialist at the hospital – which is basically the fanciest job title ever. I wondered if Boob Milker was already taken.
She pronounced the word MILK as if it had no letter K and the word PROBLEM as if it contained a heavily pronounced letter W. I loved Catherine, she was funny, informative and had no problem using a fake boob and baby to demonstrate everything.

Feeling berets would have been an equally awesome way to spend your day. Although probably not nearly as helpful in the near future.
*buys a truck load of berets to feel* 🙂
Sure wish they offered this before my first one. I was so confused and unsure of myself. I almost gave up on breastfeeding, very happy that I did not though
I have to say the programs offered for this have been so wonderful so far!!!
