We have all survived the first 8 weeks. Below are some stats of how Baby Averie has progressed so far.
Dimensions:
23.5″ long and weighs about the same as a stack of 2 small Chihuahuas, assuming they are approximately 6.4lbs each. (I am just painting a visual for you instead of saying she weighs 12.8lbs)
Her belly button appears to be set to become an ‘innie’, unless something highly unexpected happens. I don’t know about these things and don’t want to jinx anything.
We are the proud parents of an exceptionally long toed baby.
Averie is still rocking her mullet and her hair sports a reddish blonde tinge, visible in the sun.
We might have a redhead with a mullet. No big deal. Don’t let your jealously dissolve you.
Skill Set:
She started smiling and cooing around 5-6weeks and hasn’t slowed down.
Her farts can be heard across the room.
She loves kicking it on her play mat.
She has not found a job yet, though she did volunteer to be the baby model at a recent prenatal seminar. The demonstration was complete with this tiny headrest, baby mannequin and spine. (Each sold separately from Mattel)[/vc_column_text]
Likes:
milk, milky drinks, milk boobs, milk to be everywhere.
She likes us (as evidenced by the smiles).
Averie loves to be warm and still loves her bath time, even more so with this ridiculously wonderful “Bath Bloom” that her Aunty Sara gifted to us.
She enjoys when we stick out our tongues. This is either some primal baby form of communication or she just relishes the control she has over making us act like complete simpletons.
She likes when I pretend she is a piece of corn on the cob and nibble her torso from chin to toes. Actually I am not sure if she likes that, but I sure do.
She sleeps for 4-5hr stretches at night. It is good that she is a getting her rest now in preparation for world domination. Superheroes need their sleep too.
Dislikes:
Having her first set of vaccinations. It is hard to say if they hurt me more having to hold her unsuspecting sweet self while the docs did the deed.
