“My love odometer implodes”

December 24, 2014

Coming home for the holidays is always bitter sweet. You are reunited with all the pieces of your heart that splinter and stay in the places you don’t live in anymore. Life is about new beginnings but past good things never really go away.

I have spent the lions share of the last few days wresting small nephew humans on the ground, eating, drinking, laughing and exchanging the life giving connection we humans receive from the simple act of hugging. Bliss.

We had a book launch here over the weekend – and even though my eyes were quite literally red from the redeye flight we had just taken – the love and support was overwhelming.

I simply cannot say thank you enough to everyone for showing so much genuine interest and wishes for success. My love odometer implodes because of you.

We are off to the beach today with family and friend/family. Half naked children nephew creatures will likely try to cover me in sand while I attempt to sip an icy cold beer. And I will love every second of it. (Perhaps minus the sand…that shit gets everywhere)

It’s easy to forget and get caught up in the trials of life that are hard and scary. Shift your focus, there is so much good.

Warm waves of love and holiday happiness to each and everyone of you.

From my family to yours.
