The people I have in my life make my world float and my family is the glue that holds me together. With the exception of having the suddenly acquired ability to fly, there is nothing I would trade any of them for. I adore my family to the impossible edges of the universe and back … but not my sister, Trudy, because she is really ugly. Kidding I love her to the edge of ALL OF THE universes, but she really is ugly.
My sister flew in from Trinidad last night to surprise me and to attend our event launch. You know, because it is best to surprise the cardiac patient. Having her here is so perfect and it is a total whitewash of magic! It’s just such a shame about her face…
Here is an informational storyboard on how it all went down:

i’m so glad trudy will be there for the launch of your book! have fun! love you!
Being able to see your life through the lens of my friend Claudine, I am struck with awe. The love, the comedy, the absolute necessity for togetherness. All this, and a book launch. Kudos from a friend of a frinend, who is looking on, and smilng. Family is everything.
Thank you Carly! We don’t have a lot if we don’t have love and family 🙂
Also Claudine is only the best human ever, so by proxy you are too in my opinion!

i have to agree with you there… Trudy really is ugly. A good sister but really thank goodness we weren’t relying on the pretty face!!! Congrats on the book launch. Stay together forever…. Beauty and the Beast.
HAHAHAHAHA We both just had a good solid laugh over this, Jodi!
Lots of love,
Tracy the Beauty
[…] I was gob-smacked and thrilled and honestly felt like the most loved pig-valve this side of the universe. I was very surprised, in the best way possible. And shockingly I didn’t fall down like I usually do when I get startled. […]
