Claudine and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary yesterday. Our 19-week anatomy ultrasound was done around 11am and instead of unceremoniously reading the baby gender results we folded the paper to stow the big surprise away to find out later at dinner. (Much to the chagrin of our entire group family chat as they waited not so patiently for the results)
We had our friend Heather read through the pages of measurements and test results and write it out on this card for us to take to dinner.
She had to find the spot where it states: Comments: Fetal Sex Requested – likely a…. (they say likely because nobody wants to get sued for getting it wrong.)
The staff (and food) at Rasa was marvelous and they helped make finding out the gender of our baby perfectly unforgettable. The plan was to give them the card and they would send out the ‘reveal’ in a custom made dessert at the end of the meal. But we were too revved with anticipatory exhilaration to wait. So they instead made us these drinks of a scrumptiously bubbly Kir Royale and a Watermelon Mocktail.
We are going to be the very proud mammas of a Baby GIRL.
