A vinyl decal of the Jim ‘character’ was made for the book launch here in Trinidad last week. We salvaged it from the gallery wall and my mum stuck it on her windshield.
The next day my 3 year old nephew said “Ggggranny, I see Ggggggramps in you car, dat awesome” and giggled.
And then our hearts collectively boarded a spaceship and rocketed to the moon.
Never underestimate the power of a simple observation to fill you up with joy. Also never underestimate the power of a 3 year old who speaks like a cave creature.
