One major downside to having a new heart valve is the need for this pre-dental antibiotic overload. These horse tranquillizer sized pills are to protect me from potential infection sneakily trying to mosey its way down to my unsuspecting heart.
The recommended protocol is prophylactic antibiotic coverage one hour before any dental procedure.
Booooooring!
Lucky for me I am freakishly good at swallowing multiple giant sized pills and remembered to wash them down on the way out the door to my dental appointment.
Despite everything I do still love going to the dentist.
