Waiting for anything good always feels impossible.
Even waiting for bad things is hard.
Overall waiting just sucks.
At this ‘any day now’ stage of pregnancy it is really difficult to keep our excitement in check. At our 39-week visit with the doctor yesterday they hooked Claudine up to the fetal monitoring system to have a listen to the heartbeats and movements. All was well.
Claudine has been having “fake” labour contractions for the last few days.
We call them “Toni” Braxton Hicks.
So far everything is progressing and if the baby doesn’t come out before, they will induce her on April 10, five days after the official due date. So for now we wait and I will continue to spend inordinate amounts of time singing ” hello from the outsideeeee” to the belly. I figure that should tempt the baby out because really who doesn’t love Adele?!

You wanna bet that Baby girl is arriving April 1st…
Very excited for you girls! My love always hovering around you. I wish you both only the best and of course the beauty within❤️
the last month is always the worst! and the last days even more so! it’s ok, she’ll come out! don’t worry! 🙂
hugs to both!
[…] So far the contractions are reasonably spaced out by about 20 mins and Claudine is managing them like a champ. I am managing them with the helplessness of seeing someone you love in discomfort. I am, however, excellent at fetching hot water bottles and serenading her with Toni Braxton songs. Except the only song I know is Unbreak My Heart. And these are no longer simply Toni Braxton Hicks.
